The Flea Premieres THE PLACE WE BUILT Tonight

The Flea Theater is excited to welcome playwright Sarah Gancher with the world premiere of THE PLACE WE BUILT. Artistic Associate Danya Taymor (My Daughter Keeps Our Hammer, I Hate Mexicans) directs members of The Bats, The Flea's resident acting company, with music direction and arrangements by The Bengsons. Previews start tonight, April 14th, with opening night slated for April 25th.

11th Hour Theatre Company to Host HOLIDAY EXTRAVAGANZA, 12/8

11th Hour Theatre Company presents its inaugural holiday program HOLIDAY EXTRAVAGANZA for one night only on December 8 from 7:00-10:00 PM in the Caplan Recital Hall at the University of the Arts (211 South Broad Street). Featured performers are 11th Hour Supergroup including Cara Antosca. Kat Borelli, Rachel Camp, Melissa Joy Hart, Marissa Hines, Alex Keiper, Dan Kiernan, Craig O'Brien, Michael Philip O'Brien, Steve Pacek, Samantha Joy Pearlman, and Sigmund Washington. Also performing will be members of the cast from 11th Hour's Spring Mainstage production of Altar Boyz: Brendan Dalton, Kevin, Duffin, Adam Hoyak and Billy Kametz, as well as a special Philly Star Face-Off between Jeff Coon, Mary Martello and Jennie Eisenhower, and solo performances by Corey Regensberg and Danielle Lovier's group Olive Juice.

Azuka Theatre Extends DUTCH MASTERS Through 9/29

Azuka Theatre is pleased to announce that it is extending its Philadelphia Fringe Arts show, Dutch Masters, by one week. Dutch Masters, originally set to close September 22, will now run through September 29, 2013. Tickets cost $25 and are available throughwww.azukatheatre.org or by calling (215) 563-1100. Azuka Theatre to Open 14th Season with DUTCH MASTERS, 9/11-22

Azuka Theatre's 14th Season begins with the Philadelphia Premiere of Dutch Masters by Greg Keller. The show is set to run as part of the Neighborhood Fringe in the 2013 Fringe Arts Festival September 11 - 22, 2013; Opening Night is Saturday, September 14 at 7 p.m. Tickets cost $20-$25 and are available online at www.fringearts.com or at the Fringe Box Office. 'How Glory Goes' to Play at The Laurie Beechman, 4/6-9

The Ira Brind School of Theater Arts at the University of the Arts is to collaborate with its' own student run theater organization, Blurring Edges: A Cabaret Series to produce How Glory Goes, an evening of music pulling from the cannon of musical theater composer Adam Guettel. Faculty member Bill Buddendorf is set to direct alongside guest music director Darius Smith, who hails from Washington D.C. Smith is Assistant Professor and Musical Theatre Performance coordinator at Howard University.

Mary Jane Houdina, a member of the original 1971 cast of the Tony Award-winning Stephen Sondheim / James Goldman masterpiece 'Follies' will speak during the intermission of the performance on Saturday, October 24 at 8 p.m. at the Prince Music Theater. She will be interviewed by David Anthony Fox, a member of the Brind School faculty who writes theater criticism for the Philadelphia City Paper.
