Ramin Gray to Lead ATC As Artistic Director

Leading touring theatre company ATC has today announced the appointment of a new artistic director, following the departure of Bijan Sheibani earlier this year. Ramin Gray will take up the position in late October.

Sarah Ruhl's Eurydice made great waves in New York. Now this vivid re-imagining of the Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice, makes its London premiere in a co-production between the Young Vic, ATC andthe Drum Theatre Plymouth. Bijan Sheibani, nominated for a 2010 Olivier Award for Best Director for his acclaimed Our Class (NT), is reunited with the team who created the award-winning The Brothers Size.

The 2010 Olivier Awards will take place on 21 March 2010 at the Grosvenor House Hotel, with Spring Awakening, Enron, Jerusalem and A Little Night Music among the standouts of the season with the most nominations. The Laurence Olivier Awards were established in 1976 as The Society of West End Theatre Awards, and Lord Olivier agreed to have his name associated with them in 1984. The Awards are run by The Society of London Theatre but are adjudicated by panels that are equally made up of members of the theatregoing public and experts chosen for their knowledge and professional experience.
