The Public Theater has announced additional casting for the 2010 Shakespeare in the Park summer season featuring THE WINTER'S TALE, directed by Michael Greif, and THE MERCHANT OF VENICE, directed by Daniel Sullivan, in repertory June 9-August 1.

The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Executive Director Andrew D. Hamingson) will continue its popular Shakespeare Salon series on Thursday, April 22 at 6 p.m. with Shakespeare Initiative Director Barry Edelstein and acclaimed director Daniel Sullivan discussing the upcoming Shakespeare in the Park production of The Merchant of Venice, featuring Al Pacino as Shylock.

terraNOVA Collective presents a monthly variety show celebrating music, spoken word, burlesque, magic, storytelling, short play readings, and vaudeville acts. The final SUBTERRANEAN of the season will be on Friday, April 2 at 10pm in The D-Lounge, a 75-seat cabaret-style venue below the Daryl Roth Theatre at 101 East 15th Street at Union Square. Lemon Andersen, Nathan Darrow, Paloma Guzmán, Zainab Jah, Lanna Joffrey, Modesto Lacén, Rebecca Lowman, William Mapother, Leslie Silva, Ryan Brooke Taylor, Molly Ward, and Victor Williams were selected from hundreds of applications to participate in this year's program.
