Andrew Leeds, a Groundlings main company member, follows in the long line of his talented Groundlings cohorts in landing an episodic gig. Andrew plays David, the brother of the titular Zoey in NBC's new Sunday night hit Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist. Actor/singer/writer Andrew agreed to parcel out some time from his multi-tasking to answer a few of my inquiring enquiries.

First Date by Austin Winsberg, Alan Zachary, and Michael Weiner follows blind date newbie Aaron and serial-dater Casey as they meet for the first time in a bustling New York restaurant. What was supposed to be a relaxed drink by the bar soon turns into a hilarious high-stakes dinner.
Diana DeGarmo and Ace Young To Lead FIRST DATE National Tour

BroadwayWorld has learned that that Broadway Stars and real-life couple Diana DeGarmo and Ace Young will headline the First National Tour of the musical comedy First Date. Although DeGarmo and Young were both contestants on 'American Idol,' their 'first date' was during the Broadway production of HAIR in 2010. After dating for three years, they tied the knot in 2013 and immediately starred in the National Tour of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. They will share the stage once again beginning fall of 2020. First Date is written by Austin Winsberg (book) with Alan Zachary and Michael Weiner (music and lyrics) and this newly updated production will be directed by Matt DiCarlo (NYNational Tour: The Play That Goes Wrong). Now celebrating its 27th Anniversary, The Blank Theatre's Nationwide Young Playwrights Festival has chosen 12 plays by playwrights aged 14 19 from six different states. These plays will be presented by professional actors and directors in this year's Festival at The Blank's YPF Pop-Up Playhouse in Hollywood from June 6 30.
