Grant Aleksander to Star in Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey's 2012 Play Reading Series

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey will launch its third annual Lend Us Your Ears play reading series on Monday, March 12 at 7 p.m. with Eve of Ides, a new play by author David Blixt. The series also includes readings of William Shakespeare's Henry IV, Part Two on July 16 and the comedy Wittenberg by David Davalos on September 24. All readings will be held at 7:00 pm at the Shakespeare Theatre's Main Stage, the F.M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre, 36 Madison Ave. (at Lancaster Road) in Madison. The Lend Us Your Ears discount subscription series, featuring tickets to all three readings, is $36 for adults and $24 for students. Individual tickets are $15 each for adults and $10 for students. Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey Announces 50th Anniversary Season

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey today announced its 2012 season - the 50th Anniversary season of the state's largest professional theatre dedicated to Shakespeare and other world classics, and the longest running Shakespeare Theatre on the East Coast. Founded in 1963 in Cape May by Paul Barry and Philip Dorian as the New Jersey Shakespeare Festival, the company was invited to take up residence at Drew University in 1972. 2012 also marks the 40th Anniversary of the Theatre's residency in Madison.

The family members of the Bishop of Chelsea come to his house on the day he is readying his youngest daughter for marriage, and all manner of romantic hell breaks loose. One of the Bishop's brothers is madly pursuing the Bishop's sister-in-law, who herself has definite ideas about not traipsing down the aisle; the other brother is getting divorced from a wife who is rather seriously interested in having two husbands.
