This fall, the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts transforms much of its campus into a lively Little Italy themed street party as it celebrates For The Record: Scorsese - American Crime Requiem. The Wallis and For The Record-the acclaimed company that began in a small bar in East Hollywood in 2010 and whose performances have quickly become must see shows-combine forces to pay homage to the visceral world of Martin Scorsese in a new co production that revolutionizes the musical theater experience and brings the legendary filmmaker's epic soundtracks to life in a new generation cabaret, from September 21 through October 16. From the moment audiences arrive at The Wallis, the immersive experience begins with special pre show festivities, continuing through an exhilarating performance, and finishing with post show gatherings that feature specially curated entertainment.

For The Record has come a long way from their humble East Los Angeles small bar beginnings in 2010. With ongoing, full-scale productions in Las Vegas, a permanent venue on the Norwegian Cruise Line's Escape, and shows across the country; FTR has just contracted with dick clark productions and ABC to develop For The Record Live for television viewers.

Revolutionizing the live musical theater experience, the acclaimed company For The Record makes its triumphant return to Los Angeles in a new production, For The Record: Scorsese - American Crime Requiem. This new show will bring the legendary filmmaker's soundtracks to life in a new generation cabaret from September 21 through October 16 at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts. For The Record: Scorsese - American Crime Requiem is co-produced by The Wallis and Ad Astra Live, and is made possible by the generous support of David C. Bohnett.

ABC, dick clark productions and the creators of For The Record partner to develop FOR THE RECORD Live for television, a unique, genre-bending production turning the soundtracks of iconic director's films into thrilling immersive live entertainment events.

According to an Equity casting notice, Las Vegas is about to get a taste of Baz Luhrmann. Auditions will begin soon for BAZ: STAR CROSSED LOVE, with direction by Anderson Davis, and musical direction by Jesse Vargas. Performances will begin on June 25, 2016.

A brand new production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's classic THE SOUND OF MUSIC launches its national tour at the Center Theatre Group / Ahmanson Theatre next Wednesday, September 30 at 8 p.m. Directed by three-time Tony Award winner Jack O'Brien, this lavish new production is currently in previews. The production closes in Los Angeles on October 31, 2015, and will then tour North America for multiple seasons, playing multi-week and week- long engagements. Broadway In Chicago has announced Evan Rachel Wood (Thirteen, The Wrestler, Across the Universe) will join the cast of “FOR THE RECORD: DEAR JOHN HUGHES,” an immersive, concert event showcasing the works of beloved Chicago native John Hughes, at the Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place (175 E. Chestnut) the second week of performances March 12 – 15, 2015. Evan Rachel Wood will replace Rumer Willis who will play “Basket Case” in the first week of performances March 5 – 8, 2015. Willis will be returning to Los Angeles to prepare for her upcoming, just announced debut on Season 20 of ABC's “Dancing With The Stars.'

FOR THE RECORD: DEAR JOHN HUGHES at West Hollywood's DBA showcases the works of acclaimed director John Hughes, by reliving his acclaimed coming of age 1980's teen flicks including Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club, Weird Science, Pretty In Pink, Some Kind of Wonderful and Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
