Spartan Theatre Company presents Tony Kushner's early masterpiece A Bright Room Called Day, November 7-23. A group of friends in 1930s Germany are caught up in the rise of the Nazi party and Adolf Hitler's ascent to power. Meanwhile, an American woman in the 1980s shares a similar set of concerns during the Reagan administration. Directed by Laura Elleseg, this production looks at how history changes-and how it stays the same.

In this one-of-a-kind musical, audience members who arrive at least 15 minutes before curtain, are invited to select their favorites from our giant jukebox of over 100 of the greatest Broadway songs ever written. The Most Miserable Christmas Tree, a new fun-filled family holiday musical with book and lyrics by Tim Sulka and Debra Barsha, music by Debra Barsha, will be presented in two (2) private industry readings at 2:00 and 6:00 p.m., on Monday, April 7, 2014, at Joria Studio (260 West 36th Street, 3rd Floor - between Broadway & 8th Ave.)

With the help of the State Thespian Society, YDP received one-act scripts from as far away as Panama City and Fort Lauderdale. Three were selected from this group and three were selected from the tri-county entries. Over 40 entries were received this year in all.

Set sail across our stage on this swashbuckling Gilbert and Sullivan adventure loaded with enough laughs to fill Davey Jones' locker. It follows the fortunes of Frederic, a young lad who is mistakenly apprenticed to the Pirate King. When Frederic falls for the lovely Mabel, whose father is the very model of a modern Major General, a tempest brews on the sea of love. Full of roving rogues and dazzling damsels in distress, it's a treasure chest full of mischievous musical mayhem.

Entertainment Events announced today that Cuff Me: The Fifty Shades of Grey Musical Parody will make its Off-Broadway premiere at the Actors Temple Theater (339 West 47th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues). Opening night is set for tonight, May 5th.
