Netflix has renewed the animated series She-Ra and The Princesses of Power for a second season, according to Entertainment Weekly. 

In the August 11th episode of Elena of Avalor, Elena helps Charoca learn an important lesson in honesty after he meets a female rock creature named Charica and tries to win her over. *Danielle Brooks ('Orange is the New Black') guest stars as Charica and Tituss Burgess ('Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt') returns as Charoca.

The prime time television movie event 'Elena of Avalor: Song of the Sirenas,' based on the Emmy® and Imagen Award-winning series featuring Disney's first princess inspired by diverse Latin cultures and folklore, will debut on FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 21 (7:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. EDT/PDT), on Disney Junior and the DisneyNOW app. The all-star guest voice cast for the special includes Gina Rodriguez, Edward James Olmos, Rita Moreno, Prince Royce and Rosario Dawson as sirenas, mysterious underwater creatures. Javier Muñoz (Broadway's 'Hamilton') also guest stars as Elena's cousin, Duke Cristobal.

On the episode 'Young & Magic' (Series Finale), Josh decides to finally reveal a deep secret to Gabi – he's a magician. While initially supportive, Gabi becomes frustrated when Josh's magic takes over their lives. Sofia is terrified to introduce her stern grandmother to her boyfriend. Meanwhile, Yolanda's pen pal is being released from prison, and wants to meet in person.

'Young & Hungry” will kick off its final season with back-to-back episodes of the fan-favorite comedy on WEDNESDAY, JUNE 20, beginning at 8:00 p.m. EDT/PDT on Freeform. The final season sees Gabi and Josh happily together and in love, but now navigating their new status as a full-fledged couple. Manhattan Theatre Club has announced a second extension week for its world premiere production of The Portuguese Kid, the new play written and directed by Tony, Pulitzer Prize, and Academy Award winner John Patrick Shanley, at MTC at New York City Center - Stage I (131 West 55th Street). The production will now play through Sunday, December 10.

If the spot-on hilarity of first scene of director/playwright John Patrick Shanley's THE PORTUGUESE KID could be replicated for the play's remaining three-quarters, this review would be happily exclaiming that New York has got a solid, old-school sexy romantic comedy in town.
