Now in its 10th season, Our Bar announces it's next show, 'Your Bar: Another Round'.  on Wednesday, December 5th at 7PM and 9PM at the Failte Irish Whisky Bar. You've heard OUR bar stories, now they want to hear YOUR bar stories! Last December the company took on the challenge of turning its audiences wildest, weirdest, funniest and craziest bar stories into Our Bar scenes. It was such a raging success that they've decided to do it AGAIN!

Don't try to make OUR BAR sober up. It won't. Its environment is essential to its storytelling: it's site-specific theater, set in a bar. And on Wednesday, November 7th at7PM & 9PM, the company will celebrate the start of its 10th Season at Failte Irish Whisky Bar. Each OUR BAR show lives and dies in one night. AMONG THE FURIES, written & directed by DAVID SCALA, took home the top playwriting prize Tuesday night at New York City's Hudson Guild Theatre, during the New York Summerfest Theater Festival's closing night award ceremony. The play also won Best Actress for Claire Ganshert, and Best Set Design by Andrew McCourt.

Torrance Theatre Company celebrates its 15th anniversary by saddling up at the James Armstrong Theatre and presenting OKLAHOMA! with music and lyrics by one of Broadway's most influential duos, Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein. Based on Lynn Riggs' stage play, Green Grow the Lilacs, OKLAHOMA! marked the duo's first collaboration and set the standard for modern musical theatre. Although not the first musical to tell a story of emotional depth and psychological complexity, OKLAHOMA! introduced a number of new storytelling elements and techniques including the use of song and dance to convey plot and character rather than act as a diversion from the story, and the firm integration of every song into the plot-line. And most important, they introduced a new element to musical theatre: social commentary.

Adam Monley, who currently performs the roles of the Bishop of Digne and Combeferre in Cameron Mackintosh's smash hit new production of Claude-Michel Schonberg & Alain Boublil's Les Miserables, will assume the role the role of Javert beginning today, July 22.

The Pearl Theatre Company presents Away We Go, by Tony Award winner Terrence McNally, who has crafted a play in celebration of classics, acting companies, and The Pearl. The world premiere will play through December 15, and you can check out photos from last night's opening below!
