Olivier Award winner Lesli Margherita plays 'Cindy Lou Who' in the world premiere of Matthew Lombardo's new comedy with a twist of rhyme, WHO'S HOLIDAY! directed by Carl Andress, which celebrated its opening last night, November 28. Charlottesville Opera's Executive Director, Kevin O'Halloran, and Interim Artistic Director, Steven Jarvi, have announced the special one-night-only benefit performance of Broadway in Charlottesville on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at The Paramount Theater at 7:30 PM. Playwright/director Aaron Mark has a habit of leaving audiences in the dark. Not that his plays are especially hard to grasp, but the author who specializes sending chills up and down spines with his solo theatrical thrillers seems to enjoy having audience members sitting in pitch blackness for at least a part of every production. It works wonders for the creepiness factors.

All For One Theater (AFO), the company that last produced My Name is Gideon, continues its legacy of producing acclaimed solo works with Aaron Mark's SQUEAMISH starring two-time Tony nominee Alison Fraser (The Secret Garden, First Daughter Suite).

Broadway's acclaimed enfant terrible, two-time Tony Award nominee Daphne Rubin-Vega (Rent, Anna in the Tropics, The Rocky Horror Show, A Streetcar Named Desire) has preserved her acclaimed tour-de-force performance in Aaron Mark's Empanada Loca as an audioplay.

Tickets go on sale tomorrow (Friday, September 22) for the Tony-, Grammy- and Olivier Award-winning smash hit musical JERSEY BOYS, which will star Aaron De Jesus as Frankie Valli, Nicolas Dromard as Tommy DeVito, Mark Edwards as Nick Massi and Cory Jeacoma as Bob Gaudio at New York City's New World Stages (340 West 50th Street) Stage 1. After another successful return engagement last season, Ben Rimalower comes back to New York with his acclaimed long-running solo plays PATTI ISSUES and BAD WITH MONEY.

Producer Mark Cortale will present writer and performer Ben Rimalower's celebrated autobiographical comedy Patti Issues for one show only on Monday, August 28 at 9:30 PM at The Art House in Provincetown, MA. 

Broadway's acclaimed enfant terrible, two-time Tony Award nominee Daphne Rubin-Vega (Rent, Anna in the Tropics, The Rocky Horror Show, A Streetcar Named Desire) will make her long-awaited London debut in a special staged reading presentation of Aaron Mark's 'spine-tingling and stomach-churning' (TimeOutNY), 'utterly transfixing' (Theatermania) one-woman thriller, Empanada Loca. The one-night-only event will take place at London's The Other Palace (12 Palace Street, London, SW1E 5JA) on Saturday, August 12th at 8pm.

Celebrate the 2017 Tony Awards and seven-time nominee, musical theater diva Patti LuPone with Patti Issues, the acclaimed solo play from writer/performer Ben Rimalower performing at Feinstein's at the Nikko on Friday, June 9 (8 p.m.) and Saturday, June 10 (7 p.m.).

WaterTower Theatre Artistic Director Joanie Schultz today announced casting and creative team details for the Regional Premiere of Karen Zacarias' Native Gardens, directed by David Lozano. Native Gardens will run June 2-25, 2017, in the Canterbury Family Main Stage at the Addison Theatre Centre. The cast features Stephanie Cleghorn Jasso as Tania Del Valle, Ivan Jasso as Pablo Del Valle, Lois Sonnier Hart as Virginia Butley, and John S. Davies as Frank Butley.

After two successful nights in 2016, Ben Rimalower will return to both New York and Los Angeles with his acclaimed long-running solo plays, PATTI ISSUES (about his obsession with Broadway diva Patti LuPone and his relationship with his troubled gay father) and BAD WITH MONEY (about how an addiction to spending beyond his means has driven him to extreme lengths all his life). New York performances will be at The Duplex (61 Christopher Street at Seventh Avenue) on Sunday, February 19 and Sunday, March 19. Los Angeles performances will be Casita Del Campo's Cavern Club Celebrity Theater (1920 Hyperion Ave. Los Angeles, CA 90027) on Friday, March 3 and Saturday, March 4. Tickets are available separately and for the combined evening of both shows.
