It's nearly time for Starlight Theatre audiences to experience the hit musical built around the harmonies and behind-the-music story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons. Oh, What a Night lies ahead when Jersey Boys transports Starlight audiences back to the 1960s and '70s for six music-full performances June 27-July 2. JERSEY BOYS opened at the August Wilson Theatre on Broadway to critical acclaim on November 6, 2005, running 11 record-breaking years and becoming the 12th longest running show in Broadway history. The Tony, Grammy and Olivier Award-winning hit musical telling the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, is now onstage at the Center Theatre Group/Ahmanson Theatre through June 24, 2017. It is absolutely one of the best musicals I have ever experienced, and not just because their music was so much a part of my teenage years and brings back so many great memories, but for its astounding staging and the incredible cast who make the show one not to miss for musical theatre lovers of all ages!

There's a reason why the musical, Jersey Boys is such a hit, and last night the audience at The Bushnell got to experience all the hype. 

I thought, 'Big Whoop'. I never had any desire to see this show. First, it's Frankie Valli, how tough could his life really be, big star, where's the conflict? Secondly, and more importantly, I know this music. I certainly did not want to see it performed in the classical musical theater operatic style. I could be in for a very long night.

How can one musical contain so many hits? I'll give you a hint: Jersey Boys has the secret recipe. This show is the get-off-your-feet, lipsync-in-your-seat masterpiece that you need to see as soon as possible.

JERSEY BOYS, the harmonious hit jukebox musical with music by Bob Gaudio, lyrics by Bob Crewe, and a book by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, is touring the country again. The latest national tour of the audience-pleasing Tony Award-winning musical started off last week in Syracuse's historic Landmark Theatre. Local audiences were treated to a stellar production under the superb direction of Des McAnuff.

Broadway In Boston announced today that tickets for the Tony, Grammy and Oliver Award-winning hit musical JERSEY BOYS, the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, will go on sale to the public this Sunday, June 12, 2016.  JERSEY BOYS will perform a limited two week engagement at the Boston Opera House October 4-16, 2016 and is part of the 2016/2017 Lexus Broadway In Boston Season.

Okay, readers. I will be doing my best attempt to review The Paramount's production of 'Jersey Boys' objectively, considering that I am not a fan of Frankie Valli or The Four Seasons. Based on conversations I had with the people in the audience-and conversations I overheard-I seemed to be the only one that had never seen the production before, so I am also coming at this with this one 'Jersey Boys' experience. Bear with me, if you would.

JERSEY BOYS is like a bag of potato chips. Once you savor that addictive first taste, you can't enough. JERSEY BOYS is back in town and even if you have seen it numerous times, you don't want to pass this show up. These songs are timeless. The story is timeless. This is the show that never loses its appeal.
