We cordially invite you to attend the solo bamboo flute concert "Horizon: Bamboo Flute, Xiaoran (Eric) Liu '' by Chinese bamboo flute artist, Xiaoran Liu, taking place at Carnegie Zankel Hall on January 21.
This will be Carnegie Hall's inaugural concert featuring the Chinese bamboo flute as the primary instrument. Leading bamboo flutist Xiaoran (Eric) Liu will present a captivating repertoire for the first time in North America, spanning from folk tunes of Northeast China to Guangdong music, from Suzhou Pingtan melodies to Taiwanese folk songs. Each melody promises to vividly showcase the richness of Chinese ethnic culture.
Following the concert, we will team up with NEBULA NY to host a party! Xiaoran Liu, the bamboo flute artist, will collaborate with renowned DJs DITTO and Future to blend the bamboo flute with hip hop music, infusing traditional instruments with a fresh vitality.
