Artistic Director and Principal Conductor Scott Speck, host of Hear it Together, revisits The Dream, a collaborative performance by Chicago Philharmonic and Visceral Dance Chicago, with special guest-host and choreographer Nick Pupillo. Your senses will be awakened by astonishing choreography, sensational music ranging from Rachmaninoff to Radiohead, and profound commentary by Speck and Pupillo. Music, dance, and literature converge for a striking, theatrical reimagining of Fyodor Dostoyevskys story, The Dream of a Ridiculous Man. Chicago Philharmonic and Visceral Dance Chicagos 2017 premiere was hailed as a joy by Chicago Tribune and it a dream come true by See Chicago Dance. It returned to the stage in 2018 where the Chicago Sun-Times called it fresh proof that live music changes everything when it comes to dance.Prior to the main program, NEXT! will feature The Peoples Music Schools Clarinet and Oboe Duo.
