The Indo-American Arts Council presents its annual, always eagerly awaited "Erasing Borders" dance festival, a feast of performances of Indian dance along with a panel discussion, a workshop, and a lecture demo. A special feature of the 2023 Festival is the participation of legendary dancer Padma Shri Malavika Sarukai, who will perform, teach a workshop, and lead a lecture/demo. Three completely different dance performances will take place Sept. 23, 24 (at the Ailey Citigroup Theater) and Sept. 25 (online, free), showing the variety and richness of Indian dance and music, from traditional to contemporary, performed by dozens of both emerging and seasoned artists.
