WHO? YDC welcomes accomplished dance students as well as bold newcomers, currently in grades 9-12.
WHEN? June 29 - August 2, 10AM - 5PM Mon - Fri, and several weekend performance dates.
WHERE? Training and rehearsals BEGIN at the 92nd Street Y (Lexington Ave at 92nd Street) and CONTINUE in the spacious performing arts center at The Fieldston School (Riverdale section of the Bronx)
COST? Completely FREE.
HOW DO I JOIN? Fill out this application. Please have a current teacher email a letter of recommendation to
youngdancemakers@gmail.com. Attend the audition on Saturday March 14th at 1pm at the 92nd Street Y. **If you cannot attend the audition on Saturday Mach 14th, contact

YDC Audition Information
AUDITION SATURDAY March 14th at 1pm at the 92nd Street Y: 1395 Lexington Avenue at 92nd Street in Manhattan. Easy access from subways: #4/5/6 train at 86th Street.
AUDITION PREPARATION: Create a NEW short SOLO STUDY to be performed at the audition. Include the following: walk, run, turn, jump, fall, quickness, slowness, stillness, balance, off-balance, smooth, sharp, level changes. Be ORIGINAL. Approach this composition assignment with your own interpretation, idea and images. Do not use music. And have a good time with it!
AUDITION SCHEDULE at 92nd Street Y:
1pm Register and information session.
1:30-3pm Dance Class (Wear dance clothes, footless tights, no socks or shoes.)
3-6pm Individual interviews with the faculty. Perform your original solo study (see paragraph above).
**NOTE** Send your application in early! You will be seen in the order we receive them.
Please bring a bag lunch, snack and water with you to the audition.
