South Bend Civic Theatre to hold auditions for Wait Until Dark.

Wait Until Dark Auditions Wednesday August 15 and Thursday August 16 from 5:30-7:30 on the Mainstage. 4-6 M, 1-3 F (2 roles may be cast either male or female), 1 girl (age 12 to 16). Richard Baxter directs this edge of your seat classic about a menacing band of thieves seeking a mysterious doll. In their way is Suzy, a young blind woman who innocently received the doll. A classic thriller of a young vulnerable woman fighting for her life against evil performs October 26-November 11 in the Wilson Mainstage Auditorium.

South Bend Civic Theatre productions feature volunteer actors drawn from the Michiana region. Most non-musical auditions consist of “cold readings” from the script and directors attempt to schedule rehearsals around individual conflicts as best they can. SBCT welcomes and encourages actors of all experience levels, from novices eager to get the acting bug to seasoned veterans, to their auditions. SBCT is also committed to reflecting the diversity of the community and encourages and welcomes actors of all backgrounds to audition.

Come read the script and see which roles might fit you best. Scripts may be checked out for 3-5 days from the SBCT box office with a $10 refundable deposit, the box office is open weekdays from 12-6 (please call ahead for script availability at 574-234-1112).
