DATES: Auditions will be held on March 13th and callbacks will be held on March 16th.
CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS:
Jesse: (late 20s to early 30s, Black man) A passionate Black playwright from Kansas. Neil’s boyfriend. Like most Black men, he’s trying to remove himself from a world that’s increasingly political and racially aware. A little stubborn. Weak center of gravity.
Neil: (late 20s to early 30s, white man) A kind and selfless white man from Brooklyn, New York. Jesse’s boyfriend. Comes from a wealthy background but hates to admit it. Very optimistic and full of life. He wants to make the world a better place through activism.
NOTE: These roles require onstage-intimacy, stage fighting, and mentions of physical assault.
SYNOPSIS: A deep love is challenged by divisive political realities. Jesse, an introspective black playwright, finds his choices called into question when his boyfriend, Neil, a white Black Lives Matter activist, calls him out for his political apathy. As passions and priorities collide, this couple is forced to reckon with issues of race, class and the bravery it takes to love out loud.
PRODUCTION DETAILS:
Rehearsals will take place in the financial district in Manhattan. Starting around March 23rd.

Tech Dates: April 25th, 26th, 27th.
Show dates: April 28th, 29th, and 30th & May 5th, 6th, and 7th.
PAY: $100 stipend.
