Casting the following roles:
ROSA GARRAFFA: Understudy/Ensemble. Cauc. Age 25-28, Slim/average, 5'4-5'7. Very long (middle of the back) natural dark hair, brown or hazel eyes. The character is a New York City-born daughter of Sicilian immigrants. The applicant must be able to roll Rs, and experience with conversational Italian would be extremely helpful. Vocals: Strong low-to-mid-range with a strong vibrato. Ability to read music desired.
MATT VOLPE: Lead. Cauc. Age: 25-31. 5'7-6'1. The character is a muscular, macho, rugged athletic, wise-guy-type. He's a Neapolitan Brooklyn guy complete with swagger/attitude and heavy Brooklyn accent. He also happens to be an Assistant District Attorney, so he also has a certain amount of professional demeanor. The character recites some lines in the Neapolitan Dialect, therefore, a rudimentary knowledge of Italian would be helpful. Vocals: Strong mid-to-high range with a strong vibrato. Ability to read music is desired. Dancing proficiency.
ZIO VITO: Supporting. Cauc. Age 42-48, Average build, 5'6-5'10. The character immigrated from Sicily to New York's Little Italy and speaks with a slight Italian/broken English accent. He also recites some lines in Sicilian, therefore, some knowledge of the Sicilian or Italian languages would be extremely helpful. Vocals: Strong low to mid-range with a strong vibrato.
TONY MANCUSO: Supporting. Cauc. Age: 23-30, 5'7-6'1, athletic build, macho, Italian-American, edgy, brash, wise guy-type. Vocals: Strong mid-to-high range with a strong vibrato. Ability to read music desired.
MORRIS FRY: Supporting. Cauc. Age 48-55 (youthful), average, 5'7-5'10”. The character is a rabbi. Vocals: Strong low-to-mid-range with a strong vibrato.
NICOLE RYMAN: Supporting. African American. Slim/average; 5'4 - 5'7. The character is an aspiring actress. A girl's BFF with Jersey Attitude. Vocals: Good mid-to-high range. Vocals: Strong mid-to-high range with a strong vibrato. Ability to read music desired.
