Final auditions for the 5th New Jersey run of the Perry Award-nominated original musical,

“They Call It Gravy; WE Call It SAUCE!”

Storyline: First-generation, New York-born Rosa Garraffa discovers she’s pregnant by her Jewish fiancé. Her traditional Sicilian father disowns and banishes her. Twenty years later, Rosa’s Jewish-raised daughter, Barbara, along with her Brooklyn-born Neapolitan boyfriend, Matt, step into the picture and attempt to reunite the broken family.

Casting the following LEAD role:

Character Name: Barbara Goldman

Age Range: 19-24

Ethnicity: Caucasian

Character Breakdown: Slim (Swimsuit model-type), 5'2 - 5'7. Long, light blond hair (No wigs or extensions). Blue or green eyes. Singing experience required (mezzo-soprano). Dancing experience desired. The ability to read music is desired. The character was born and raised in Connecticut. She does not have a discernible regional accent.

Note: New Jersey residents are preferred, however, if a New York-based actor is selected for this role, train transportation will be paid from Manhattan to the venues in New Jersey for rehearsals & performances.
