Audition: nonunion actors for a small tour of the US debut of THE RIVER AND THE MOUNTAIN directed by Sarah Imes Borden. We'll audition from 2-5 March 2nd at the Theatre on the Run, Arlington. One contemporary monologue and a capella 16 bars if you sing (pop or church standards). Prepare for a cold read of sides.
Casting 4 women and 6 men, ages 18-60. We are only auditioning African, African American and multiracial performers at this time. Callbacks will be held the next day if needed. Most people will play multiple roles. The role of Samson has been cast, we are using the original cast member from Uganda.
Rehearsals will be in the evening Mar 18-20. Performances are Mar 21-24 in various locations. All performers must have transport. Note, there may be matinees Saturday or Sunday. All performers will be compensated. We encourage you to read about the play online. It is controversial and was banned in its native Uganda.
