North Texas Performing Arts Repertory Theatre announces auditions for THE ODD COUPLE, the hit play by Neil Simon that won four Tony Awards. The plot concerns two mismatched roommates: the neat, uptight Felix Ungar and the slovenly, easygoing Oscar Madison.
The Odd Couple will be directed by Jeff Swearingen.
Seeking actors over 18 for following characters:
Oscar Madison: A slovenly, recently divorced sportswriter.
Felix Ungar: A fastidious, hypochondriac newswriter
Murray: A NYPD policeman, one of Oscar and Felix's poker buddies
Speed: One of the poker buddies. Gruff and sarcastic.
Vinnie: One of the poker buddies.
Roy: One of the poker buddies. Oscar's accountant.
Cecily and Gwendolyn Pigeon: Oscar and Felix's giggly upstairs neighbors, a pair of English sisters.
Auditions will be held Monday June 4 6pm-10pm and Monday June 11 6pm-10pm. Callbacks will be Wednesday June 13 7pm-10pm. Please prepare and memorize two contrasting monologues and provide a headshot and resume.
