THE (CURIOUS CASE OF THE) WATSON INTELLIGENCE - The City of Fairfax Theatre Company

The City of Fairfax Theatre Company presents

The (curious case of the) Watson Intelligence
By Madeline George
Directed by Chuck Leonard

Auditions: February 20, 21
Callbacks: February 24

Seeking two male, one female actor for the roles of Eliza Merrick (ages 25-45), Frank Merrick (ages 30-50) and Josh Watson (ages 30-50). All actors are unpaid.

Time moves quickly as playwright Madeline George takes us up close and personal with the line between assistance and dependence on electronics in “The (curious case of the) Watson Intelligence.” Drifting between 1976, 1889, 1931 and 2011, the story quickly follows the characters of Eliza and her husband Merrick. Central to the story is Watson: the laboratory assistant to Alexander Graham Bell, the chronicler of Sherlock Holmes, a middle-aged tech guy on the “Dweeb team” and a robotic Siri-assistant. This witty, time traveling love triangle questions predictability, dependence and challenges the way we look at the machines on which we all depend.
