Towards Zero

Auditions will be at Rover Dramawerks, located at 221 W. Parker Road, Suite 580 in Plano, at the northwest corner of 75 and Parker Rd. in the Ruisseau Village Shopping Center.
Brief Synopsis:
Nevile Strange insists it won’t be a problem for his ex-wife Audrey to visit Lady Tressilian at the same time as he and his new wife Kay, but tensions are understandably high from the start. When Lady Tressilian is brutally murdered, Inspector Battle is on the case to solve the crime. Dame Agatha at her finest!
Roles: 6 men, 5 women
Thomas Royde – 30s to mid 40s; good-looking in a rugged way, keeps to himself as much as possible. In love with Audrey.
Kay Strange – early 20s to early 30s; pretty, spoiled, and childlike. Neville’s second wife, extremely jealous of Audrey.
Mary Alden – mid 30s to mid 40s; pleasant and noncommittal, entirely competent, yet with something intriguing about her. Lady Tressilian’s personal secretary.
Mathew Treves – an elderly and distinguished retired lawyer of ripe experience and great shrewdness.
Nevile Strange – mid 30s to early 40s; the ideal Englishman - wealthy, handsome, and athletic. Audrey’s ex-husband, currently married to Kay.
Lady Tressilian – an aristocratic looking woman, a little younger than Treves. Practically raised Thomas and Nevile.
Audrey Strange – early 30s to early 40s; an ethereal beauty who carries about with her an air of repressed emotion.
Ted Latimer – mid 20s to mid 30s; good-looking and sharply dressed. Lost Kay to Nevile and still hangs around her.
Superintendent Battle, C.I.D, Scotland Yard – mid 50s+; intelligent and observant.
Inspector Leach, local C.I.D. – late 20s to early 40s; Battle’s nephew, eager and quick to judge.
All roles require a British accent. All roles are available.

- Please prepare a one-minute non-classical monologue.
- Be prepared to read from the script.
- Please bring a resume and head shot.
- Actors and technicians will receive stipends.
- Rehearsals will be in Plano and will begin on or around the week of September 14.
