Tacoma Little Theatre is holding auditions for the touchingly honest, Significant Other, written by Joshua Harmon. This production will be directed by Chris Serface.
Auditions will be held Sunday, January 29th and Monday, January 30th at Tacoma Little Theatre (210 N I Street, Tacoma WA 98403) and on January 31st at STAR Center (3873 S 66th St, Tacoma, WA 98409). Audition appointments will be set starting at 6:00pm on Sunday and 7:00pm on Monday & Tuesday in five-minute increments. Callbacks will be held on Wednesday, February 1st at Tacoma Little Theatre. All actors must schedule their appointment using Casting Manager at the link below. TLT requires that all actors provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
Jordan Berman would love to be in love, but that’s easier said than done. So until he meets Mr. Right, he wards off lonely nights with his trio of close girlfriends. But as singles’ nights turn into bachelorette parties, Jordan discovers that the only thing harder than finding love is supporting the loved ones around you when they do. But, as they get married one by one, he is left to wonder why life won’t give him the same fairytale ending. Significant Other is an unorthodox romantic comedy that celebrates the highs and lows of twenty- something urban life, wedding after wedding after wedding.
All roles are available: Jordan Berman (Male, mid-to-late 20s), Laura (Female, mid-to-late 20s), Vanessa (Female, mid-to-late 20s), Kiki (Female, mid-to-late 20s), Helene Berman (Female, early-to-late 80s), Will/Conrad/Tony (Male, mid-to-late 20s), Zach/Evan/Roger (Male, mid-to-late 20s). Ages given are playable ages, actors need not specifically fit the given age to audition. Tacoma Little Theatre practices color-conscious casting and encourages actors of all abilities to attend.
Auditioners are asked to prepare a contemporary monologue (dramatic or comedic) that best showcases the role you are interested in auditioning for. There may also be some cold readings at the audition.

Once cast, Significant Other will begin rehearsals on March 6, 2023 with the production running from Friday, April 21, 2023 to Sunday, May 7, 2023.
