SHERLOCK HOLMS AND THE PORTAL OF TIME

221 W. Parker Road, Suite 580 in Plano, at the northwest corner of 75 and Parker Rd. in the Ruisseau Village Shopping Center.
Brief Synopsis:
Only one man can stop evil mastermind Professor Moriarty from changing the outcome of World War II, and that man is Sherlock Holmes. With the help of his trusty sidekick Dr. John Watson, Holmes must join forces with H.G. Wells and Albert Einstein in different time periods to pursue Moriarty and protect the fate of the world. The show takes place in 1918, 1921, and 1939.
Roles available for 5 men, 3 women, 3 either
Sherlock Holmes: (Male, 20s-40s) The smooth, clever, curious, slightly pompous main character of our story. The world’s greatest detective.
Dr. Watson: (Male, 20s-40s) Sherlock’s loyal friend and fellow investigator, a little oblivious and less subtle than Holmes but critical and useful nonetheless.
Mrs. Hudson: (Female, 20s-60s) Sherlock’s housekeeper who lives vicariously through gossip and information gleaned by Holmes.
Jane Wells: (Female, 20s-40s) Practical yet adventurous, the wife of H.G. Wells is brave and isn’t afraid to play a part of the action.
Herbert George Wells: (Male, 20s-40s) A writer who makes a dangerous discovery while doing research, and answers the call to action. Stubborn, but not foolish.
Albert Einstein: (Male, 20s-50s) The brilliant scientist who is principled, patriotic, and a very physical role.
Vera Erickson/Elsa Einstein: (Female, 20s-4
0s) Moriarty’s accomplice and master of disguise and deceit. A physically adept lackey, but not the brains in the duo.
Professor Moriarty: (Male, 30s-60s) Sherlock’s vengeful adversary, driven to pursue Holmes and unwilling to learn from his past mistakes. Clever, but always a step behind.
Clowns 1, 2, and 3 (Male/Female, 20s-60s) who portray the characters of Vagabond 1 & 2, Bobby, Inspector Lestrade, Soldier 1 & 2, Two Spies, Two Suspicious Men, Henchman, Hostess, and Older Moriarty. It is important that these parts be played physically and vocally different.

- Be prepared to read scenes from the script.
- Please bring a resume and head shot.
- References may be required.
- Actors and technicians will receive stipends.
- Rehearsals will be in Plano starting on or around November 20. All conflicts must be noted at time of audition (there will be some time off for the holidays).
