Auditions Begin for Shakespeare in the Park’s 45th Season

2016 Season to Include Two of the Bard’s Best and Classic Comedy of Manners

It is not in the stars to hold our destiny but in ourselves, which is why you should audition for Shakespeare Dallas’ 2016 summer & fall season. Auditions for the 45th season of
Shakespeare in the Park are being held on Saturday, January 23rd and Sunday, January 24th, 2016. The lineup for this season includes the summer performances of Shakespeare’s Richard III, The Tempest and a hilarious production of She Stoops to Conquer by Oliver Goldsmith.

Richard III will be directed by Guest Director Stefan Novinski, She Stoops to Conquer will be directed by Guest Director Mason York, while The Tempest will be directed by Shakespeare Dallas’ Artistic Associate René Moreno. Auditioning actors will also be considered for The Complete Works of William Shakespeare staged reading series performed at the Hamon Hall at the AT&T Performing Arts Center throughout the year.

Aspiring Dallas-area actors must set up an appointment with the Shakespeare Dallas team to secure an audition. All interested candidates can contact Shakespeare Dallas directly at

Auditioners should bring three copies of current headshots and resume, and be prepared to perform a classical monologue up to 1 ½ -minutes in length.
