All roles are open to audition. We are seeking three men and one woman for this production (2WM, 1BM, 1BF). All auditioning will be asked to read from the script. The production is directed by Sharon A. Wilcox.
Rehearsals will be held three nights per week on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursdaybeginning March 6, 2016. There will be one midweek rehearsal on Thursday, April 14, 2016.
All actors interested in being cast in this show should read this play and have an understanding of its background. A reading copy is available upon request.
The Warner Stage Company is a regional community theatre company and does not offer compensation or housing for performers.

ABOUT THE SHOW
Multiple Award-winning playwright/director David Mamet tackles America's most controversial topic in a provocative new tale of sex, guilt and bold accusations. Two lawyers find themselves defending a wealthy white executive charged with raping a black woman. When a new legal assistant gets involved in the case, the opinions that boil beneath explode to the surface. When David Mamet turns the spotlight on what we think but can't say, dangerous truths are revealed, and no punches are spared.
The play also examines our court and jury system which often forgoes the pursuit of truth in exchange for jury and pubic opinion manipulation. Another theme presented suggests people inject their deep seeded racial bias onto the legal process often assuming guilt or innocence based on the race of the accused or victim. In other words, people people make up their minds on guilt or innocence way before a case goes to trial. And in doing so they become emotionally vexed if the verdict doesn't follow their predetermined sense of justice.
This production contains adult language and situations and is recommended for a mature audience.
