Prescott Center for the Arts is pleased to announce auditions for

Private Lives 2

by Noel Coward.

Directed by Parker Anderson

Auditions will be held 12/1 and 12/2 at Stage Too! 6:30 – 9:30

3 Women with one speaking French, 2 Men

Revived in 2002 by the Royal National Theatre in a production that sparkled on Broadway,

Private Lives is one of the most sophisticated, entertaining plays ever written. Elyot and Amanda once married and now honeymooning with new spouses at the same hotel, meet by chance, reignite the old spark and impulsively elope. After days of being reunited, they again find their fiery romance alternating between passions of love and anger. Their aggrieved spouses appear and a roundelay of affiliations ensues as the women first stick together, then apart, and new partnerships are formed A uniquely humorous play boasting numerous successful Broadway runs boasting such as stars Coward himself, Laurence Olivier, Tallulah Bankhead, Gertrude Lawrence, Tammy Grimes, Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor.

Looking for two men and two women to play the four leads.....ages 30s to 50s. Though the script was written for people in their 30s, and has been, played by older performers as long as all four are in the same age bracket. I am willing to look at all available age ranges. The director also needs one female, any age, who can speak French, to play the French maid (a small role).

Scripts can be checked out through the box office for a refundable $10.
