FABnyc and Downtown Art are hosting an open casting session for NO HOUSING NO PEACE, a theater performance created from news reporting and first hand accounts of the 1988 Tompkins Square riot.
During the session, participants will get additional info on the project and participate in group theater activities with current ensemble members using the existing script. There is no need to prepare material in advance; headshots and resumes are not required. This is primarily a volunteer project; however, there is a modest stipend of $200 for each ensemble member.
No prior performing experience necessary; preference given to those who work or live in the East Village/Lower East Side and have limited performance experience or training. All ages and backgrounds welcome.
