AUDITION NOTICE

MADAME MAGICIAN

The story of two unlikely strangers meeting on a railway car in 1985 traveling from East Germany into West Berlin during the dead of winter. How do we learn to believe in the magic of strangers in a politically charged climate?

CHARACTERS:

Fortunato- Female magician 20’s-50’s with youthful radiance but with ageless wisdom/qualities. Oracle-like magician. Eastern European accent.

Dr. Daniel- Middle-aged Israeli academic with German/Russian parents trying to forget his personal and religious identity and focus on matters of science. Does not believe in magic.

Wednesday, April 1st

Friday, April 3rd

Possibly April 4th & 5th

Rehearsals: March 5th & Week of March 16th.
