Auditions for HOT AUGUST NIGHTS – ONE ACTS at Town Players

Town Players of Newtown announces auditions for HOT AUGUST NIGHTS – A NIGHT OF ONE ACTS Monday and Tuesday, May 4 & 5, from 7-9 PM.

Town Players is mounting an evening of one-act plays, including THE PROBLEM by A.R. Gurney, PORCH by Jack Heifner, THE PROPOSAL by Anton Chekov, and plays written by local playwrights including Elizabeth Young of Newtown and Michael Giuliano of Bethel.

Directors for this evening of fun include Sherry Asch of Brewster NY, Timothy Huebenthal of Southbury, Terry Polvay of Sandy Hook and Terry Sagedy of Newtown.

There are a number of men and women needed, and some actors may be cast in more than one role. No appointment is necessary. All roles are available.

Rehearsal times are flexible, and the production runs Friday and Saturday evenings, July 31 – August 8, with one Sunday matinee.

Auditions will take place at The Little Theatre, 18 Orchard Hill Road, Newtown.

Town Players’ Little Theatre is a community theater, currently in its 80th anniversary season, located on 18 Orchard Hill Road, just off Route 25 (a mile north of the Sand Hill Plaza) in Newtown, Conn.
