[EVANGELIST GRACE]
35 to 50 years old, Black/African American female. The wife of Rev. Grace, first lady of the church, comical and cynical, loves her husband and cares about the members of the church. Talent should be able to sing any of the following music genres: gospel, musical theatre, R&B. old, African, Black woman.
[LAMONT SPENCER]
16 to 25 years old, Black/African American. Talent must be able to play 16. He's a gang member, a typical American kid who joined the gang after they avenged the murder of his father. Talent should be able to sing any of the following music genres: gospel, musical theatre, R&B.
[MALIK]
16 to 25 years old, Black/African American male. Talent should be able to play a 16 year old and a 25 year old. A rapper, gang member, has been part of the gang since birth, comical and lovable person, Lamont's best friend; rapping required. Singing is a plus.
[TENISHA]
15 to 25 years old, Black/African American female. Talent must be able to play a 15 or 16 year old. Evangelist Grace and Rev. Grace's 15¬year¬old daughter, child prodigy, awarded a scholarship to college and is an active member of her father's church, very proud to be a church girl. Talent should be able to sing any of the following music genres: gospel, musical theatre, R&B.
[FRANK]
30American male or female. A leading gang member who lacks courage when trouble arises, he disappears. Talent should be able sing any of the following music genres: gospel, musical theatre, R&Bboy 20 to 30 years old, African, Black man.
[DAMON]
Age: - | LeadingAmerican male. Malik's older brother, a convict and gang member, leader of the gang, he's mean, evil, and charismatic, recently released from prison. Talent should be able sing any of the following music genre: gospel, musical theatre, RB. 20 to 30 years old, African, Black man.
[MR. SPENCER]
American male. Lamont's deceased father, he appears throughout the play as a spirit guiding Lamont. Talent should be able sing any of the following music genre: gospel, musical theatre, R&B. 35 to 45 years old, African, Black man.
[MRS. SPENCER]
American female. Since the death of her husband, she has become very depressed doesn't know why God took her husband, has neglected herself and her son. Talent should be able sing any of the following music genre: gospel, musical theatre, R&B 35 to 45 years old, African, Black woman.
STORYLINE:
Gospel Musical combatting gang and gun violence.
Should 16-year-old Lamont return to the church or stay with the gang that avenged his father's murder?
