GOODSPEED HOLDS AUDITIONS FOR LOCAL ACTORS
Goodspeed Musicals will be holding local adult Equity auditions for its 2014 season, on Saturday, December 7 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in East Haddam, Conn. Goodspeed is seeking adult male and female Equity actors.
All auditions are by appointment only. Appointments may be made starting immediately. Please call Company Management at (860) 873-8664, ext. 387, Tuesday through Saturday, 10 am - 5 p.m.
Goodspeed Musicals 2014 season will be Damn Yankees (3/11-6/21), Fiddler on the Roof (5/27-9/13) and Irving Berlin’s Holiday Inn (8/19-11/30). The Norma Terris Theatre 2014 season will be announced shortly. Candidates must be available for four weeks of rehearsal and a 4 to 14-week performance run.
Interested performers should bring a resume, photo and sheet music and be prepared to sing two short numbers: an up-tempo song and a ballad. Music must be legible and in the proper key (No lead sheets please). An accompanist will be provided.
Performers of all ethnicities are strongly encouraged to audition.
Dedicated to the preservation and advancement of musical theatre, Goodspeed Musicals produces three musicals each season at the Goodspeed Opera House in East Haddam, Conn., and additional productions at The Norma Terris Theatre in Chester, Conn., which was opened in 1984 for the development of new musicals. The first regional theatre to receive two Tony Awards (for outstanding achievement), Goodspeed also maintains The Scherer Library of Musical Theatre and The Max Showalter Center for Education in Musical Theatre.
