GEORGIA and the BUTCH by Carolyn Gage
Carolyn Gage has arranged the actual letters between Georgia O'Keeffe and Maria Chabot over a nine-year period, as narrated by their mutual friend, Mary Wheelwright. Maria was a non-binary non-conforming lesbian who was decades ahead of her time; Georgia O'Keeffe was just reaching the pinnacle of her success; Mary Wheelwright was close to both women and was an accomplished anthropologist.
The role to be cast is: GEORGIA O’KEEFFE: A woman, mid-fifties-to-mid-sixties
BURN THIS by Lanford Wilson
A passionate look at love in the 80’s by one of America’s legendary playwrights, the play focuses on a strong and vulnerable dancer who is mourning the death of her gay roommate, when the roommate’s irrepressible brother bursts into her life.
All roles available except “Pale”
Anna - 30ish, any race, smart, beautiful and damaged. She is a professional dancer.
Burton - handsome, athletic in his early 30’s. Anna’s boyfriend as the play begins
Larry - 20’s, 30’s Gay, smart and funny; the third roommate
HEROES of the FOURTH TURNING by Will Arbery
Late at night in Wyoming under an endless sky, four college friends linger outside the celebration for their mentor Gina, the newly inaugurated President at their conservative, Catholic, alma mater. The years since college have sculpted their views of society, politics, and community. As the night progresses they struggle to be understood as they clash, argue, and spiral into philosophical and spiritual chaos.
Justin - M, 38. Stoic, anchored. Hosting the gathering. Former marine who works at the college.
Emily - F, 25 Deeply empathetic and chronically ill. Unafraid of standing up for herself and others. The daughter of Gina, the newly inaugurated President of the college.
Kevin - M, 29 Lost and lonely alcoholic who is curious about the world beyond Wyoming. Wants a girlfriend so bad.
Teresa - F, 29 Fiery mouthed and quick witted. She lives in New York and writes for a right-wing publication, a la Breitbart
Gina - F, 64. Emily's mother and newly inducted President of the college. A widely admired and beloved teacher among the college's students.

Pete (20) A desperate young man. A draft dodger who has snuck back to the states after his friend’s death in Vietnam

Mrs. Thompson (39) Rachel’s mother. Lyrical and romantic. A survivor.
