WAUKESHA CIVIC THEATRE ANNOUNCES OPEN AUDITIONS FOR:

For Purely Elfish Reasons

Open auditions for the Waukesha Civic Theatre’s production of For Purely Elfish Reasons will be held:

  • Sunday, August 14, 2016 from 5 pm to 8 pm
  • Monday, August 15, 2016 from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm
  • Tuesday, August 16 from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm
  • Callbacks, if needed, will be on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at 7 pm

No appointment is necessary. Auditions will be held at the Waukesha Civic Theatre Building at 264 West Main Street, Waukesha. Please prepare 32 bars of a musical theatre song and be prepared to read from the script. Please bring sheet music in your key for the accompanist. Character descriptions from the playwright are also available at the WCT website
audition page. If you will not arrive at auditions until 8:30 or later, please contact the theatre so the director can be informed.

Santa Claus has a problem. Many of his best elves are moving on to bigger and better things—and nothing is getting done! Inspired by the comedy stylings of the Marx Brothers, this hilarious show is great for all ages.

All roles are open.

There are 5-8 roles for men aged 20 and older.
There are 11-14 roles for women 20 and older.

There are multiple chorus roles for children age 8 and older
and 1 featured role for a child.
