DOUBT: A PARABLE - Authenticity Theater

Our next production, DOUBT: a parable, by John Patrick Shanley, is auditioning soon. Directed by James Carey. Auditions are Saturday July 30th, 11a-3p. Sign up for your audition time. Be prepared to perform a 1-2 minute dramatic monologue as well as readings for the individual character.

We are casting the following roles:

- Father Flynn - age 35 – 40, white, working class, politically cunning, athletic, possesses a superior attitude towards the nuns and is certain of his place in the patriarchy, personable, appears to be a caring person, also a possible molester.

- Sister James - age 24 to 26 – white, kind generous, naive about life and the world, caring for the children, believes in the church, does not have a strong will of her own and can be easily bent to another opinion.

- Mrs. Mueller - late 30s to early 40s – black, will do anything to protect her child, tough, Will not be bullied, stands her ground, has to be deferential to the nuns and priest to a point, seriously concerned about keeping her son in the Catholic school.

Rehearsals begin August 15th in the Chamblee area. Show dates are September 22-24 at 8pm and 25th at 2pm. Location TBA. Roles are non-equity with stipend.
