About the show:

The most important theatrical event of the 21st Century! Or not. Debbie Does Dallas is a modern morality tale told as a comic musical of tragic proportions in the language of the rodeo-porno-football circus. Based (nearly word-for-word) on the 1970s blue movie of the same name, the story follows Debbie Benton, an all-American, small-town sweetheart on her coming-of-age quest to realize her dream-- to become a Texas Cowboys Cheerleader! The only thing standing in her way is the bus fare to Dallas and the inequity of her minimum wage job. So Debbie and her friends form Teen Services! A small company willing to take on BIG jobs. Debbie Does Dallas manages to have it all: beauty, brains and a great (albeit naughty) sense of humor!

CHARACTERS: All roles are open.

Casting 5 Women and 3 Men for the following roles (It helps if you can play a high-school age, but remember this is a parody, so high-school age in an adult film can be past 30!):

THE GIRLS:

DEBBIE BENTON – Captain of the cheerleaders. Small-town girl with big city dreams. Blonde bombshell, squeaky-clean, but underneath a closet existentialist. Friendly, nonjudgmental, a little dim, but driven. Has most of the shows solos.

LISA – Cheerleader. The bad girl we love to hate. Manipulative and sneaky. Sets goals and achieves them – just doesn’t aim very high.

ROBERTA – Cheerleader. The spacey one. Lives in her own bubble and is all about the fun. Best friends with Lisa, but also very loyal to Debbie. Should dance and cheer well.

DONNA – Cheerleader. Donna is a poet. She is a study in contradictions. She has a boyfriend, Tim, but is closest to Tammy (who is a prude). She doesn't want to be branded as easy. She is thoughtful and smart. Should dance and cheer well.

TAMMY – Cheerleader. The smart one. Senatorial prospects. Her wisecracks usually go over the heads of the other girls. Should dance and cheer well.

THE BOYS:

ACTOR ONE (plays 3 roles):
RICK - The quarterback, captain of the football team, and Debbie’s boyfriend.
HAMILTON – Rich, young tennis pro.
BIGTIME – Owner of the Dallas Cowboys, appears in a fantasy

ACTOR TWO (plays 3 roles):
MR. GREENFELT – Owns the local sports good shop, A gentleman, but REALLY wants in Debbie’s pants.
MR. BIDDLE – High-school librarian; repressed, with darker fantasies about Donna
KEVIN – Football player. RICK’S friend. Typical jock.

ACTOR THREE (plays 6 roles):
MR. HARDWICK – Owns the candle shop. A swinger, but kinda Mr. Rogers-ish.
SR. BRADLEY - High school Spanish teacher, but the kind who hires young girls to wash his car in the rain while his wife’s gone. Chooses to speak only Spanish.
ASHLEY – Friends with tennis pro, HAMITON, but challenged when it comes to girls.
NICK – College boy who works at the record store. Vintage Vinyl type of “know-it-all-ness”.
JOHNNY – Football player. Tight End. Maybe a little closeted.
TIM – Football player. Shy, but is DONNA’S boyfriend.

ATTENTION: It must be understood that all actors for DEBBIE DOES DALLAS must be comfortable with various states of undress, close proximity to actors of the same and opposite sexes, and choreographed simulated sexual situations (with the stress much, much more on the dance and comedy than the sex). Ladies should expect to be seen in their bras or swim-tops and men should prepare to be seen shirtless.
