Busch Gardens Entertainment with the casting support of RWS Entertainment Group is seeking vibrant, energetic performers for its collection of world-class productions during its Holiday Season.

Seeking nonunion singer/dancers, singers, and dancers, over the age of 16, with dynamic personalities, who are comfortable with various music/vocal/dance styles and are able to entertain by connecting with an audience. Theme Park, Cruise Ship, and Children’s Theatre credits are a plus.

Open Call will be held Monday, September 16, 2019 at 10am (Singers & Singer/Dancers), 2pm (Female Dancers), and 4pm (Male Dancers) at Pearl Studios, 500 8th Avenue (btwn 35th and 36th Sts), 3rd fl, NYC.

Specifically seeking the following roles:

HOLIDAY SEASON

SCROOGE NO MORE! Join Scrooge live on stage in an all new musical at the Globe Theatre as he is swept away by the ghosts of Christmas past, present, and future, who teach him the importance of family and friends being together at Christmas.

[MALE ENSEMBLE] Funny, charming, unique with big personality. MUST move very well. Improv or juggling skills a plus. Vocal Range: Bari tenor

DECK THE HALLS A musical tribute to Christmas traditions that celebrate the magic of the season. An exciting, energetic musical revue.

[MALE ENSEMBLE SINGER] Funny, charming, unique with big personality and excellent voice. Styles range from Broadway to Pop. MUST move very well. Must be able to deliver comedic bits throughout the show. Vocal Ranges: Tenors with strong F and G.

[MALE ENSEMBLE SINGER] Funny, charming, unique with big personality and Amazing voice. Styles range from Broadway to Pop. MUST move very well. Must be able to deliver comedic bits throughout the show. Vocal Range: Baritone with strong Eb.



[FEMALE ENSEMBLE DANCERS] Smart, attractive, very dynamic dancers - should have a strong sense of style and technique. Style of the show is swing/jazz/lyrical. Partnering and tap experience a must.

GLORIA The greatest story ever told comes to life as only Busch Gardens can imagine. The story of the Nativity told through moving scenery, projections, and outstanding voices, Gloria will reach your soul and leave your heart singing.

[AMOS] Male. A shepherd. Styles range from Broadway to Gospel/Soul. Vocal Range: Tenor

[MELCHIOR] Male. The Red king who brings gold to the manger. Styles range from Broadway to Gospel/Soul. Vocal Range: Tenors with strong belts.

[BALTHAZAR] Male. The purple king who brings frankincense to the manger. Styles range from Broadway to Gospel/Soul. Vocal Range: Bass / Baritone with strong belt.


CAROLERS A quartette of Dickensian singers perform throughout the afternoon and evening beneath Big Ben spreading Yuletide cheer to village guests.

[VILLAGE VOCAL QUARTET] Male. Choral style with a great blend needed. Vocal Range: Bass.

Rehearsals for SCROOGE NO MORE!, DECK THE HALLS, and GLORIA start October 29. Shows open on November 15 and close on January 5. All rehearsals are in Williamsburg, VA.

WHAT TO PREPARE

SINGERS and SINGER/DANCERS: Please prepare 16 bars of an upbeat pop/rock or contemporary musical theatre song showing range and personality. Have a contrasting second piece ready if asked. Bring sheet music in correct key; accompanist will be provided. Bring headshot and resume stapled together. You may be called back to move or dance later the same day; bring dance clothes/shoes.

DANCERS: A brief combination will be taught. Please wear form fitting attire. Females should bring character heels and flats. Males should bring jazz shoes. Bring headshot and resume stapled together.

Callbacks will be held Tuesday, September 17.

Pay Rate: $20.26/hour for principal roles. $14.57/hour for ensemble roles.
