Auditions will be at Reclamation Church, located at 901 Cross Bend Rd. in Plano, at the northwest corner of Alma and Cross Bend.
Brief Synopsis:
Struggling artist Payne Showers finally gets his Big Break. He dies. Fortunately, Payne's death greatly inflates the value of his work. Unfortunately, his estranged wife Maggie must sell it all to avoid bankruptcy. Then a wealthy real estate mogul buys dozens of paintings at a private showing, which will rescue her financially…AND put Maggie's gallery on the map! At this point, the only thing that could go wrong would be if Payne Showers were to walk through the door. Then he walks through the door.
Roles available for 4 men, 4 women
Maggie La Rue (F) late 30’s to 40’s Payne’s estranged wife. She runs a gallery and desperately needs everything to go perfect.
Richard (M) 30’s to 50’s Maggie’s fashionable, high strung and energetic Gallery Manager.
Graciela (F) 20’s to 30’s Latina cocktail waitress with a killer attitude.
Trent Matlock (M) 20’s Maggie’s impossibly handsome actor boyfriend, unfortunately incredibly dim.
Judith Fontaine (F) 40’s to 50’s an elegant and unflappable newspaper maven.
Mick Fitzgerald (M) 50’s fabulously rich real estate mogul with a strong, booming voice.
Emma (F) 20’s to 30’s a humorless art critic with a surprise waiting to erupt.
Payne Showers (M) 40’s Maggie’s estranged husband, thought to be dead. Charismatic and self-absorbed.
