Christian Youth Theater will hold dog auditions for the role of Sandy in their upcoming production of Annie. Auditions will be Saturday, October 7, from 2-3 pm at Northern Dance Academy,
147 E. Aqua Circle, Dalton Gardens.
CYT-North Idaho recently cast 82 children ages 8-18 who are currently enrolled in CYT's fall session of theater arts classes. Still needed is Sandy, Annie's dog found on the streets of NYC in Act 1 of the show and who takes the stage in Act 2 as well.
The dog should be friendly and not afraid of noise or kids hugs. After all, there will be a total of 110+ kids and adult volunteers rushing around! Those interested, should bring their dog on a leash to There will be an audition form to be filled out by the owner. The dogs will work briefly with the Director of the show, Annie, and 3 other cast members who will also be working with the dog during the show. The dog will be required to be at the S.A. Kroc Community Theater for all 12 performances, Nov 3 - 12 and dress rehearsal week, Oct 29 - Nov 2. Details will be available for owners at the auditions.
