Alley Theatre Holds Auditions for Houston Actors

The Alley Theatre will hold 2015-2016 Seasonal Auditions for Houston actors onTuesday, August 18, 2015. On Saturday, August 22, 2015the Alley Theatre is also holding auditions for boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 13 to be considered for roles in the Alley Theatre’s 2015 production ofA Christmas Carol – a Ghost Story of Christmas.

Open Auditions for Houston Actors

2015-2016 Seasonal Auditions for Houston actors are onTuesday, August 18, 2015. Auditions are for AEA and non-AEA adult actors, ages 18 and older. Auditions are by appointment only, and may be scheduled beginningWednesday, August 5, 2015. Actors should prepare one monologue (classical or contemporary) that is one to three minutes in length and bring a current headshot and resume. No phone calls please.

REQUIREMENTS FOR NON-AEA ACTORS
To be eligible for auditions & casting all non-AEA actors auditioning must be at least 18 years old; must live within a 50-mile radius of downtown Houston; and must be available for weekday and weekend rehearsals.

Children’s Auditions for A Christmas Carol

The Alley Theatre is holding auditions for boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 13 to be considered for roles in the Alley Theatre’s 2015 production ofA Christmas Carol – a Ghost Story of Christmas. Those wishing to audition must be available for rehearsals and performancesOctober 24 through December 28, 2015.

REQUIREMENTS
Children must be age 13 or younger; and may not be members of AEA or SAG-AFTRA. Children auditioning should be prepared to sing one verse a cappella from a traditional holiday song such as “Hark the Herald Angels Sing” or “O Come All Ye Faithful.” Children should also prepare an age appropriate short monologue, story or joke. Total material prepared should not exceed two minutes.
