Announcing Auditions for “All For A Song” An origional two-act musical comedy by Sandy Merrill Smolen Directed by Alan Lee Auditions to take place on Monday, April 30th. 2012 At Scarritt Bennett Campus Address: 1008 19th. Avenue South in the Fondren Building, 2nd. Floor. From: 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. Please call 615-385-2488 for an appointment The Foundren Building is to the right of the main chapel. Signs will be posted. This is for a one night reading and is a pay for performance show Seeking: 5 male parts Bill Rallich: the songwriter, somewhat naïve, ambitious, talented, and struggling. Singing range; baritone, this is his show! Frank Sinatra: Frank. Dean Martin: A pecks bad boy, but with a smile, an edge, and a glint in his eye. Sammy Davis Jr. Of the three the most talented and the one with the most to prove. One male character: All four rolls are played by one actor this is a non-singing part. a. Boss: Tall, hen pecked, loud mouth b. Bartender: Has to lay down the law, yet be understanding (in charge when needed). c. Film director: a minor part, d. A doctor: One spoken line. All parts require strong acting. This is not the cliché Frank, Dean, and Sam. This show presents them as the people they were at the peak of their success, fun, honest, and real, very real. Age range: between 25 – 55
