A RAISIN IN THE SUN - Roxy Regional Theatre

Due to hazardous road conditions from the recent winter weather, this evening's auditions at the Roxy Regional Theatre have been rescheduled for this Thursday, January 18, at 5:30pm.

Local youth will have the opportunity to work alongside professional actors when the Roxy holds male children's auditions for the role of Travis in next month's production of A RAISIN IN THE SUN.

African-American boys, ages 8 to 12, should come prepared with the Travis and Ruth scene from the play. To avoid distractions, parents will be asked to wait in the lobby during the auditions.

Performances run February 9 through February 24. If cast, child must be available for all rehearsals Monday, January 29, through Friday, February 9, from 10:00am to 1:00pm and 3:00pm to 6:00pm. Child must also be available for possible daytime performances for school groups at 10:00am on Mondays through Fridays during the run of the production.

A rehearsal and performance schedule (with already booked daytime performances), along with a copy of the scene needed for the audition, can be found online at
