Ex-pat Kiwi Sir Garfield Todd, Prime Minister of Rhodesia during 1953-1958, was criticised for being too vocal in his support for equal rights in Zimbabwe and labelled Black Lover by his detractors. Confined to his home under house arrest, with the civil war raging close by, Todd and his familys servant, Steady confront the uncertainties of their precarious lives. This gripping two-hander is being performed as part of Auckland Arts Festival and stars Cameron Rhodes and Simbarashe Matshe.
