Oliver, a malnourished orphan, bravely escapes to London and finds acceptance amongst a group of pickpockets. When he is wrongly accused of theft, the benevolent victim, Mr. Brownlow, takes him in and Oliver seems to have found a home. But, fearing the discovery of his hideout, Fagin, the leader of the pickpockets, is intent on kidnapping him back!
