Can we too love his son? Like others, Anne sacrificed her life for her husband and children who all eventually abandoned. It now finds itself alone, surrounded by the ghosts of the past. But a sentimental break will bring back his son a few days at home. And with it, Anne is surprised to revive regain some joy, even forget that it will sooner or later, let him go again.



"Mother" resonates within us as a child, parent, grandparent, brother or sister, as she tells the universality of human emotions and the limits of madness which are never that far that one imagines. Catherine Hiegel is simply heartbreaking. She won the Molière for best actress for that part.
