Joyce DiDonato offers us a flamboyant program theme, Drama Queens, which includes vested tunes to the large Queens of baroque opera of the 17th and 18th centuries.
Bérénice, Cleopatra, Octavia, Iphigenia, Orontea and Irene, the superb American mezzo-soprano gives life to these Royal figures taking to heightened feelings. This musical journey goes from the dawn of opera (Monteverdi) to the works of Haydn, while the beautiful part to Handel.
The programme of the concert will be also glazed rarities: the superb scenes written by Antonio Cesti, Giovanni Porta, Giuseppe Maria Orlandini or Reinhard Keiser.
This will be an opportunity for the monegasque public to discover that today makes beautiful evening of the greatest lyrical scenes.
