Circus Juventas is extending the world's many celebrations and mad tea parties thrown to honor the 150th anniversary of Lewis Carroll's "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" by taking audiences on the trippiest of trips under its gilded Big Top. The world-renowned youth circus -- once dubbed "where Cirque du Soleil meets the Children's Theater" -- will present Wonderland as its annual summer production July 28 -- August 14. This is the 22nd year of the youth circus program -- the largest in North America.
Drawing on its Circus Arts school of more than 2,500 children of various ages trained in everything from acrobatics and balance to aerial techniques, juggling and more, Wonderland will feature the school's most advanced 100 performers. Add choreography and theater to the mix, along the magical sets, costumes and music, and the production is guaranteed to enthrall those willing to journey to a strange land of riddles, poems, and wonder, a dream-like place where not everything is as it seems.
Tickets regularly sell out: To quote the White Rabbit, "Don't be late!"
