1965. 1966. 1967. 1968. LBJ has just been elected to a second term. Dr. King’s “March on Selma” is at the forefront as LBJ battles to pass historic legislation on health care, education, poverty – and then, there’s the growing spector of Vietnam as the election of 1968 grows near with Bobby Kennedy, Gene McCarthy, HHH and Richard Milhous Nixon all making a run for the White House. The Great Society depicts the larger-than-life LBJ’s tragic fall from grace, as his accomplishments are overshadowed by the bitter failure of Vietnam.

"Impressive in its scope, surprisingly energetic and shines a bright, clear light on a pivotal moment in American history....I came away more impressed than I was with All the Way -- and, ultimately, more moved."

- Charles Isherwood, New York Times
