1959. Buddy Holly and The Crickets are the hottest thing goin’ in rock ’n’ roll! After a meteoric rise to the top, Buddy and The Crickets part ways. A whirlwind romance and marriage are in cards for Buddy, and yet with royalties tied up by his producer, he takes off with entertainer J.P. Richardson “The Big Bopper” & Ritchie Valens for a Midwestern tour called “The Winter Dance Party.”
